A Lark on the Wind
In 1989 a five-year-old girl goes missing from the traveler’s camp she lives on. Detectives Jack Sheridan and Col Baker are sent to look into her disappearance. But with the community claiming to know nothing, the two men find themselves chasing a ghost.
In the present a crooked accountant is kidnapped from his home. Chief Inspector Don Parkinson heads the investigation and begins unearthing the man’s past. A past that he soon discovers runs parallel to his own.
Jack Sheridan receives a phone call from someone he’s not spoken to for thirty years. In a split second he’s brought all the way back to a question that has haunted him ever since those dark days of ’89.
What happened to the little girl who never came home?
