When a district attorney's investigator turns up dead, and Carter finds himself in handcuffs, everything he's built collapses overnight. No strategy. No control. No courtroom advantage. From inside, Carter must do the one thing his entire career never required and trust someone else to fight for him. While a pregnant Elsa and investigator Linda Chen work the case from the outside, Carter navigates a brutal world of violent inmates and corrupt officials, coordinating his own defense through prison glass and contraband phones before whoever put him there decides a murder charge isn't enough.
